Curtin University is one of Australia’s largest and most research-active universities, known for its strong industry connections and practical, student-focused approach to learning. With a diverse student community and a commitment to innovation in teaching, Curtin supports learners in developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their academic and professional pathways.

Curtin University sought a digital learning platform to support first-year students through one of the most challenging transitions in their academic journey - moving into tertiary study with confidence and the right foundational skills.

I led the end-to-end UI/UX design of the platform, which delivers interactive modules covering academic research, referencing, and effective study techniques. The process involved user research, wireframing, high-fidelity prototyping, and hands-on testing with students to ensure the interface was clear, accessible, and genuinely easy to use.

Working closely with Curtin stakeholders throughout, I refined the visual layout, navigation patterns, and user flows to create a learning experience that feels intuitive rather than intimidating - helping students build the confidence and independence they need to succeed.
